Silage additives

The stability of a silage depends on many factors. It is important that during preservation the pH drops quickly, inhibiting undesirable micro-organisms such as moulds and yeasts. A rapid and strong drop in pH is achieved by administering silage additives based on lactic acid bacteria. Inhibition of heating is especially important in drier and sugar-rich grass and maize silages.
